Chuck Bruce returns with his popular two-day Inlay Knife Workshop!
In this workshop, students will saw, grind, and shape stone to fit the handle channel of a small Texas toothpick knife. From there they'll glue on the stone and grind and polish stones to a high polish, and finish by polishing the steel of the knife.
Chuck provides TWO basic knife blanks (more may be purchased, including upgrades as desired--many students complete multiple knives during the 2 day class!), plus necessary consumable materials for completing the knives. Studio JSD provides basic hand tools at each student bench as well as specialty equipment for finishing stone. Students will receive a list of suggested tools and supplies to bring prior to class. Plan to bring slabs of your favorite stones or purchase some from our collection!
All current classes are in-person at our Grand Haven, Michigan Studio. When purchasing online, please choose "Pick-up" as your shipping option.

Visiting Artist Cancellation Policy: Full refunds (minus a $35 processing fee) will be given if cancellations are received up to 60 days prior to the workshop date. Due to prior artist travel arrangements and class material purchases, cancellations after that date can only be reimbursed if we can fill your seat.
Workshops and classes are for students 18 and up. Minors can register with prior approval from the instructor and with parental consent.
